The full annual lawn program is designed to give your lawn the proper fertility at the optimal time while also preventing pests and weeds like grubs and crabgrass. Treatments are spaced 4-6 weeks apart and we spray any weeds present in the lawn on every visit. This comprehensive program will give you a lawn you can enjoy and be proud of.
The early spring visit includes application of a granular fertilizer and pre-emergent for crabgrass prevention. We spot treat any spring weeds appearing throughout the lawn and front landscaping.
The late spring visit is our second round of granular fertilizer with pre-emergent. We do a split application of pre-emergent for improved season long control. Optional blanket-spray for broadleaf weeds on this visit.
The summer visit includes application of a granular grub preventer to protect your roots and a slow feeding fertilizer to help the lawn get through the hot summer months.
The late summer visit is specifically targeted at difficult summer weeds like yellow nutsedge, knotweed, and spurge. We also will evaluate the lawn and recommend fall seeding where necessary.
The fall visit includes a granular fertilizer to assist the lawn in recovering after summer stress. We will spot spray any weeds that have popped up since the last visit.
The late fall visit is our winterizer and includes a heavy root building granular fertilizer that will put the lawn to bed for the winter with lots of stored food. The lawn stays greener longer going into winter and greens up faster coming out of winter!
Fall is the best time of the year for seeding a lawn. We recommend seeding alongside core aeration and/or verticutting plus a starter fertilizer. Every lawn has different seeding needs and we are able to do a customized seed job for every lawn.
Core aeration, or plugging, is a highly recommended practice because it improves lawn health by allowing the roots to breath and reducing soil compaction. Spreading high quality seed after aeration is a sure-fire way to thicken the lawn.
Spring is the second best time for seeding. It is recommended to seed as early in spring as possible to give the new grass time to establish before the heat of summer appears.
Verticutting alongside seeding is the best way to fill in an especially thin and bare lawn. We spread seed first and then use the machine to slice it into the top layer of soil. The results are fantastic.
